Apple is preparing its biggest visual redesign for the iPhone 17 Pro in years, and we now have a pretty good idea what it could look like, even in a case. Reliable tipster Majin Bu has shared images of a set of protective cases in latest leak designed for the iPhone 17 Pro models, showcasing a major shift in camera design that replaces the smaller camera module on the current models.

According to the leak, the iPhone 17 Pro’s camera sensors will be housed inside a tray that will stretch from one end to the other on the top of the device. The triple camera array will be located in the same position and order as the current version, but the plateau will be quite large and take the entire top portion of the back of the device. On the opposite side of the cameras, the tray will include a LiDAR scanner, a microphone, and the LED flash.
While we have seen the design of the device in prior leaks, Bu’s latest leaked images showcase how the device will look inside a case. The tipster has shared mockups in a wide range of color options, and it is the first time that we are seeing the device inside a case. This look marks the biggest design update since the iPhone X launch in 2017.
The iPhone 17 Pro is shown in white color, but the cases are visualized in multiple color options, including soft shades of mint green, purple, blue, and off-white. Note that the cases reflect third-party design preferences, and Apple could move in a different direction with solid and more playful tones for its 2025 flagship lineup.
With the iPhone 17 Pro release expected in the fall of this year, potentially in September, accessory leaks like these often serve as an early indicator of what the company is planning in terms of design. Case manufacturers typically receive dimensions and design specifications of the devices a few months in advance, so they get more time manufacturing the accessories, which means that the chances of these designs being true are quite high at this stage.
Leaks like these give us a pretty good early look at the iPhone 17 Pro and how it will look. If the news has any heft to it, Apple could be planning a major visual overhaul of the devices. The company could be planning to introduce a handful of new front-facing features with the new models as well, but it will share complete details on the device’s official launch later this year. It remains to be seen if the company will increase the price of the iPhone 17 lineup, as earlier reports have pointed out that TSMC’s higher 2nm chip manufacturing costs could make Apple’s 2026 iPhone 18 lineup very expensive.
