Apple’s forthcoming iPhone 17 Pro models are expected to undergo a major redesign with a new camera bar on the back. A new image has now been leaked on social media, highlighting the machined parts of the iPhone 17 Pro and the new look of the camera bar.
iPhone 17 Pro machined parts leak to show rumoured design with a camera bar
The new image was shared by Majin Bu on X, showcasing the leaked machined parts on an assembly line for the iPhone 17 Pro models. If you are not familiar, the biggest change coming to the iPhone lineup this year is the new camera array on the back, especially on the ‘Pro’ models and the iPhone 17 ‘Air.’
If you are not keeping up with the rumours, the iPhone 17 Pro models are expected to come with a camera bar on the back, which will house all the necessary camera sensors, an LED flash, a LiDAR Scanner, and the microphone. The camera tray will stretch across the entire top portion of the device from the back, and it will be the new element that the company is planning to incorporate to offer novelty compared to the current models. It remains to be seen why the company is opting to use this design, but it has been reported numerous times.
As you can see, the alleged image show a CNC-machined aluminium or titanium chassis components for the iPhone 17 Pro Max, which is in line with past rumours and reports. There are a handful of cutouts which will house the necessary components such as MagSafe, camera sensors, LiDAR sensor, and much more. There is also suggested to be a glass section around the Apple logo which will be integrated with the chassis of the device.

We have previously reported that Apple could potentially ditch titanium and opt for an aluminium build on the new devices conjoined with a part-glass design that will allow for wireless charging. It will also allow the iPhone to reverse wireless charge other Apple products, including Apple Watch and AirPods, which the company has previously tested, but it remains to be seen if the technology will make it to the iPhone this year.
Apart from the iPhone 17 Pro, the iPhone 17 Air is also expected to feature the same camera bar design at the back. However, the size of the camera tray will be smaller than that of the ‘Pro’ models, as it will only house a single lens camera setup instead of a triple lens camera. The standard iPhone 17, on the other hand, is expected to feature the same design as the current models.
