Apple has officially announced iOS 27 at WWDC 2026, and there is some good news if you were worried about your iPhone getting left behind this year. According to Apple, iOS 27 supports all the same iPhone models that can currently run iOS 26, which means there are no major compatibility cuts this time around.
iOS 27 Will Support The Same iPhone Models As iOS 26
The update focuses on Siri upgrades, new Apple Intelligence features, bug fixes, performance improvements, and changes to Liquid Glass. This makes compatibility more interesting because Apple is not cutting off older supported models despite bringing more AI-focused features to the platform.
iOS 27 will support the following iPhone models:
- iPhone 17
- iPhone Air
- iPhone 17 Pro
- iPhone 17 Pro Max
- iPhone 16e
- iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus
- iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max
- iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus
- iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max
- iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus
- iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max
- iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini
- iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max
- iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini
- iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max
- iPhone 11
- iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max
- iPhone SE 2 and newer
However, older iPhones may not get every Apple Intelligence feature due to hardware limitations. Apple will release iOS 27 later this year, while the first developer beta should arrive shortly after the WWDC keynote. Good news for older iPhone users, then. Your iPhone lives to fight another major update.
