iOS 26.5 Has Been Released With Encrypted RCS And New Wallpaper – Changelog

Today, Apple has seen fit to release its highly anticipated iOS 26.5 and iPadOS 26.5 updates for all compatible iPhone models. The updates arrive a week after the company seeded the first and second release candidate builds of the update to developers for final testing. If you have been waiting for the update to hit your iPhone officially, now is the right time to download and install it.

Apple’s Latest iPhone And iPad Updates Bring Encrypted RCS Messaging, A New Wallpaper, And Maps Improvements

Since this is the final build, you do not need a developer account to download the software. What this means is that iOS 26.5 and iPadOS 26.5 are available for everyone with a compatible iPhone or iPad. You can download the latest updates from the Settings app on your device. Simply navigate to Settings > General > Software Update and install the latest build. Note that the process is the same for iPhone and iPad.

iOS 26.5 is a major update, as it brings a plethora of new features to the table, along with updates for existing features as well. For instance, RCS messaging is now available with end-to-end encryption, ensuring maximum privacy and security of texts across iPhone and Android users.
